Biography

Jaime A. Gonzalez was born and raised in San Jose, California. As a native, he attended San Jose State University where he obtained a B.A. in Psychology in 1995. He then continued his education by receiving his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2001, all while actively working as a San Jose police officer.

Jaime brings forward his law enforcement expertise to family law. He has over 27 years of experience probing criminal and related family law matters. He is a former San Jose police sergeant, detective, and training officer. His keen insight and perspective in investigating complex criminal cases makes him a great addition to our team; he has extensive knowledge in managing and examining domestic violence, child abuse, and violations of restraining order cases.

After attending Santa Clara University School of Law, he subsequently worked in family law alongside a former family court judge. Strategic and flexible problem solving is what Jaime takes pride in, along with the ability to assist clients in risk-benefit analysis regarding the merits of their case. His overall legal and law enforcement experience will help navigate even the most challenging family law matters. Additionally, he is fluent in English/Spanish.

In his spare time, Jaime enjoys raising his vivacious young daughter with his wife in the south bay. He and his family enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures at Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Carmel-by-the-Sea and, of course, Disneyland. He also enjoys a regular workout routine and is a San Jose Earthquakes, Sharks, and San Francisco 49ers fan.
